A Max-Air AE Series electric on/off actuator sits perched atop a custom-fabricated diverting tee assembly. The two Delta T lug butterfly valves are set opposed to each other so that when the primary valve is closed, the secondary valve is open and vice versa. Unlike some other tee assembly manufacturers, Max-Air uses a radial load bearing on the secondary valve to remove side-loading on the butterfly valve stem and improve longevity. BFV tee assemblies can be used in place of a diverting 3-way ball valve to reduce costs and for easier maintenance and installation.
