Max Air Technology offers a complete and comprehensive group of 5 different series of industrial grade electric actuators to meet your application requirements (ME/MX/SE/SX and MA). The 5 lines are standard quarter turn electric actuators of industrial design offering non-failsafe, mechanical failsafe, and Supercap failsafe options. The torque ranges offered are from 310 in-lbs through 40,000 in-lbs; in a variety of voltages 12/24 vac/vdc, 120/230 vac and complete 3 phase solutions. We offer standard location and Hazardous Location rated units (CLS/DIV as well as ATEX).
The line supports OPEN/CLOSE/JOG as well as Modulating controls and offers a wide array of optional custom control interfaces (3 position, SCADA, 2 wire control and many others). Manual Overrides are standard on all lines as are auxiliary limit switches and anti-condensation heaters, 360 degree viewable position indicators. All units utilize ISO compliant bolt mounts and female output drives. We offer a wide array of local control options. Additionally, IP68 submersion ratings are available along with over 120 options to provide the best solution for your electric actuation needs.

MA Series | Ordinary Locations
Open/Close/Jog & Modulating, Intelligent
MA Series industrial electric actuators are offered in 4 frame sizes and 8 different torque ratings providing 133 in-lbs thru 1,770 in-lbs. These units utilize an “Advanced Interface” for operation and configuration with all set-up and monitoring done through a set of push buttons and illustrated on an OLED screen. All units come standard with 3 meter cable integrated into an industrial powder coated heavy duty, IP67 aluminum enclosure, ISO mounting and female drive output. MA Series actuators are available in 24 VAC/VDC or 90 to 265 VAC.
All MA Series are available in either Open / Close / Jog control, as well as full Modulating control configuration (3 position and a multitude of other control configurations are available). Failsafe configuration utilizing SuperCap technology is available for these units as an option; this will provide full CW positioning of the unit under loss on mains power. A 360-degree viewable raised position indicator, manual override, 2 auxiliary switches, and anti-condensation heater are standard on all units.

ME Series | Ordinary Locations
Open/Close/Jog/Modulating, Heavy Duty
ME Series industrial electric actuators are offered in 8 frame sizes and 15 different torque ratings providing 310 in-lbs thru 40,000 in-lbs. All units come standard with an industrial powder coated heavy duty, NEMA 4/4X/IP67 aluminum enclosure, ISO mounting and female drive output. ME Series actuators are available in 12 VAC/VDC, 24 VAC/VDC, 120VAC, or 230 VAC models; these are also offered in complete 3 phase configurations with and without motor control centers.
All units are available in either Open / Close / Jog control, as well as full Modulating control configuration (optionally 3 position, SCADA, and various other control and operating options are available to meet the most demanding of application requirements). Torque switches are available as an option. A complete array of local control operators are available; these will provide local or remote operation with full control and status indication to the control system. A 360-degree viewable raised position indicator, manual override, 2 auxiliary switches, and anti-condensation heater are standard on all units. The units are optionally available in NEMA6P/IP68 for submersion rated applications.

Open/Close/Jog/Modulating, Heavy Duty
MX Series Hazardous Location industrial electric actuators are offered in 6 frame sizes and 10 different torque ratings providing 310 in-lbs thru 13280 in-lbs. All units comply to CSA Class 1, Division 1, Groups C, D T4 temperature standards as well as Class 2 Division 1Groups E, F, G with T130 degree temperature standards. The units are also fully ATEX rated for Class 1, Zone 1 Ex dbIIB T4 Gb (Canada) and Class 1, Zone 1 AEx db IIB T4 Gb (for US); Ex tb IIIC T130C Db(for Canada).
All units come standard with an industrial powder coated heavy duty, IP68 aluminum enclosure, ISO mounting and female drive output. MX Series actuators are available in 24 VAC/VDC, 120VAC, or 230 VAC single phase. All MX Series are available in either Open / Close / Jog control or full Modulating control configuration. Battery Backup for ME/MX Series Units
Max-Electric’s EFS Series battery backup systems provide fast-acting, easy to install fail-safe power solutions for our ME & MX Series electric actuator lines. These stand-alone reserve power sources provide the required energy to drive valves or dampers to either a fully open or fully closed position, upon loss of mains power. The enclosure is mounted separately from the actuator to allow for convenient access for operation, monitoring status, battery servicing, and ease of maintenance. Fail direction is field-selectable on the control panel. These EFS units are designed to work with our full range of Max-Electric ME & MX series actuators.
SE Series | Ordinary Locations
Open/Close/Jog/Modulating, Heavy Duty, Spring Return
SE Series industrial electric mechanical spring return actuators are offered in 5 frame sizes and 5 different torque ratings providing 475 in-lbs thru 3,185 in-lbs. Units will provide mechanical failsafe positioning to either a full CW or CCW position upon loss of mains power. All units are available with or without a manual override handwheel.
All units come standard with an industrial powder coated heavy duty, IP68 rated aluminum enclosure, ISO mounting and female drive output. SE Series actuators are available in 24 VAC, 24 VDC, 120 VAC, 230 VAC; these are also offered in complete 3 phase configurations in 220, 380 or 460 VAC. All SE Series are available in Open / control configuration (please contact the factory for additional control requirements). MACC Series – Electric Actuators
The most compact Max-Air actuator on the market today. This little MACC powerhouse, roughly the size of a soda can, is designed to fit into the smallest of locations, generating 160 in-lbs of torque, comes standard with F03/F04/F05 mounting, auxiliary switches, manual override, visual indication, extended leads, and available in a variety of voltage options.
